The Penguins have an available left-handed defenseman. We give you good price. Very cheap.

There are better goalie options in UFA.

Yeah. You gotta find one that actually wants to go to Edmonton though.

Of Coyote players available, let's hope Kuemper is the player Holland is pushing for the most. OEL is not earning his paycheck and I don't know how the hell Edmonton would fit that $$ in without decimating their team in other ways.

Forgive my ignorance, but how might this benefit the Oilers? If Klefbom is done for the season, might not LTIR allow Holland some additional cap flexibility?

They need to convince him to put the surgery off and then trade his ass.

In Sean's dream yesterday you traded him and Chiasson's 2.15 for Debrusk & Bjork.

Considering the rumor out of Boston was Chiasson for Bjork and that Boston has had a hard on for Klebom in the past. Is it really that far fetched ?

Nope, he'd still be bad. He'd fall behind both Nurse and Klefbom and could pretty easily be surpassed by Jones in short order.

I'd probably be okay with him, even at 8.25mil (assuming the cost is reasonable), if only for the chance that he'll bounce back ala Weber. The Oilers haven't had anyone as close to being a #1 as OEL is even after his struggles. Retain some cap and it makes it an even more attractive option.

I am far from a Ghost fan, but that's really stretching there. I can even accept Nurse to a small extent because of his physicality, but all that you mentioned haven't even sniffed the success Ghost had in his rookie year let alone his 60+ point season from 2 years ago. Now has he been battling some injury issues the last couple years, well obviously, but supposedly he is back on track now.

Personally I would still trade low for a 2nd or 3rd or even a trash dump like Pu, but Edmonton's defense is an outhouse and Ghost would probably be the bright spot for them until the two young guys are ready, probably 2-3 years away before any impact.
